How it works
Triamcinolone (Triton) is in a class of medications called corticosteroids. It works by activating natural substances in the skin to reduce swelling, redness, and itching.Triamcinolone (Triton)topical is used to treat the itching, redness, dryness, crusting, scaling, inflammation, and discomfort of various skin conditions, including psoriasis (a skin disease in which red, scaly patches form on some areas of the body and eczema (a skin disease that causes the skin to be dry and itchy and to sometimes develop red, scaly rashes).
Usage And Safety
Dosage
Apply a thin film of medication to the affected area and gently rub. Usually 2-3 times daily or as directed by your doctor. Do not bandage, cover, or wrap the area unless directed to do so by your doctor.

Indication
Triamcinolone (Triton) ointment is used to treat variety of inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of skin responsive to corticosteroid therapy such as: Eczema , Insect bites , Lupus erythematosus , Dermatitis , Intertrigo , Allergic disorders , Seborrheic dermatitis , Lichen Planus , Psoriasis .
When not to Use
Do not use if you have an allergy to triamcinolone acetonide or any of the ingredients listed .

Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: poor blood circulation, immune system problems.

Warning 1
Do not use if there is an infection or sore present in the area to be treated.
Warning 2
Rarely, using corticosteroid medications for a long time or over large areas of skin can make it more difficult for your body to respond to physical stress. Before having surgery or emergency treatment, or if you get a serious illness/injury, tell your doctor or dentist that you are using this medication or have used this medication within the past few months.
Warning 3
Though it is unlikely, this medication may temporarily slow down a child's growth if used for a long time. See the doctor regularly so your child's height can be checked.
